Boards and views
Use the Board, Tree, Dependencies, Map and Flow views, the filters and availability meter, and the keyboard shortcuts.
Board
- Six columns: Backlog, To Do, In Progress, Blocked, Under Review, Done.
- Drag a card between columns, or to a position within one. On mobile, tap a status tab and use Move on a card.
- Bulk triage: shift-click or tick cards, then set status, assignee, priority or board on all of them.
- Done shows the 60 most recently closed tickets. The header shows how many there are in total.
- Refresh reloads data without resetting your project, view, filters or open ticket.
Filters, sort and the meter
- Filter by board, epic (including No epic), type, priority, assignee and last touched, plus Mine.
- Filters apply to the Board, Dependencies and Map alike. Clear filters appears when any is set.
- Sort within each column by priority, story points, epic, update time or title. Default order restores drag ordering.
- The availability meter filters by ready, in progress, claimed or blocked. See How Praxis works.
- A card in In Progress or Under Review for a week without moving shows a tag such as
⏳ 12d.
Tree and Map
Tree shows each epic and everything under it.
- Each epic rolls up tickets done over total, and points done over total, with the unestimated count.
- Tickets under no epic are gathered at the bottom. Fold state survives a refresh.
Map draws every ticket as a connected graph.
- Colour by "can I start it?" is the default: green ready, red blocked, amber in flight, near-black done.
- Group by board, by epic or by nothing. Hover a ticket to isolate its whole dependency chain.
Dependencies
- Waves: wave 1 has nothing in the way. Each ticket sits one column after its last blocker.
- Circular: tickets in a dependency loop, which cannot be scheduled until a link is removed.
- Blocked, nothing linked: tickets marked blocked with no linked blocker. Not blocked clears them; or link the real blocker.
- Drag boxes to arrange them. The layout is shared with the whole team. Auto-arrange clears it.
- Hover a box to light its chain. Click a box to open the ticket. Done tickets are left out.
Flow
Flow measures recorded column changes. Nothing is guessed. With fewer than five finished tickets it says it cannot forecast yet.
| Chart | Shows |
|---|---|
| How long one ticket takes | Median and p85, from first move into In Progress to last move into Done. |
| Finished per week | Tickets and points as two series. |
| Lines moved | Lines added and removed from linked pull requests, by the week the ticket finished. |
| Where the time goes | Total time spent in each column, excluding Done. |
| What the rest will cost | Suggested estimates for unestimated tickets, from finished work of the same type and board. |
| Taking the longest | The slowest tickets, including unfinished ones. |
Suggested estimates are never written to tickets. Imported tickets cannot report how long they took, and Flow says how many there are.
