Channel announcements
Post a project's new tickets, status moves and comments into a Slack, Discord or Microsoft Teams channel.
Set up a channel
- 01In Slack, Discord or Teams, create an incoming webhook for the channel and copy its URL.
- 02In Praxis, open the project's Settings and expand Outgoing notifications.
- 03Paste the URL into New notification webhook URL and save.
Each project has its own destination. There is no need to choose a service: one message works for all three.
What is posted
- A ticket is created.
- A ticket's status changes.
- Someone comments.
Other changes, such as assignee, priority or board, stay on the ticket's history. This keeps the channel worth reading.
Delivery
- A message is sent only after the change is saved, never for a change that failed.
- Praxis waits up to 5 seconds for the channel. A slow or failed channel never blocks your change.
- A missed message is not retried.
Keeping the URL safe
- The URL must use
httpsand point to a public address. - Anyone with the URL can post into that channel, so Praxis never shows it again. Settings only say whether one is set.
- To stop announcements, tick Disconnect notifications and save.
