AI CONNECTIONS

Bring your AI tool to your project

Browse the full Praxis guides ↗

One personal key can cover several projects. Choose the project for this repository, then copy its setup prompt.

Start from your organization

  1. Open your organization and choose AI tools.
  2. Select Connect an AI tool, choose your project, and name the key.
  3. Copy the setup prompt and paste it into your AI tool. It will detect the right configuration for your tool and operating system.
  4. Confirm the organization and project reported by your tool before starting work.

The key appears once. Keep the prompt private. If you lose it, use Regenerate key in AI tools, then update each tool with the replacement.

Choose your organization

Set up manually

You can configure the server yourself, without asking an agent to install it. The manual guide includes connection fields, PowerShell and Bash checks, workflow installation, and troubleshooting.

Connection details

Praxis uses MCP over Streamable HTTP. A tool with remote MCP support can connect directly. A tool that only supports local servers may need an HTTP bridge or a manual setup step.

Authentication uses an Authorization: Bearer <YOUR_KEY> header. The key determines the organization, project, and permissions. It cannot provide platform administration access.

Save credentials in your tool’s private settings or an untracked local environment file. Merge existing configuration so your other tools keep working.

A workflow that fits your team

Your AI tool reads the project’s actual boards, tickets, and instructions. There are no required repository folders or company-specific conventions.

Organization admins can add optional workflow instructions under Project settings → Team and agent instructions. The generic workflow is available from /skill/kanban-task.md using the same personal key.

If you cannot connect

Check that the key has not expired or been revoked, that you still have access to the project, and that your organization is active. For a client that requires a restart, follow its setup instructions. Never paste a key into a public issue or commit it to your repository.
